Tip Junkie is going Dot Com!!!

After two years, Tip Junkie (one of my most favoritest websites) is going Dot Com, and to celebrate, Laurie is having a huge Dot Com Birthday Bash. She is giving away tons of fabulous prizes every day this week while promoting her Mom-prenuer Shops. Head on over and check it out! Just click on the button below!

Gehrig's last day of preschool...

...well at least until next fall, but it is his last day at Precious Lambs, since next fall we will be living in Clovis, New Mexico. I am continuing a tradition set by my mother (and probably her mother too) by taking pictures of Gehrig (and not too far down the road Colin) on his first and last day of each school year.

Here he is on his first day of preschool....(It was in February, on his 4th birthday)

And here he is this morning on his last day of preschool!

I put a note in his lunch box. Chris reminded me that he couldn't read yet, but his teacher assured me that she read it to him...she said that she cried while doing so.
As an end of the year gift, we made these clip boards. I hope that they liked them...they sure seemed to!

Bringing in the gifts!

Today is a very special day

And not just because it is Flag Day, but because it is Grandma Joan's birthday AND Aunt Jo's birthday too! We want to wish you both a very special birthday. We hope that you are having great days and that you are spending it with very special people. We know that Grandma Joan is. She is spending the day with Aunt Kelly and her precious new granddaughter, Allie!!!!!

For her birthday, we made Grandma Joan a gift. Since she had been to Serendipity 3 in NYC with Aunt Kelly a couple of years back, we thought that it would be nice if she could enjoy some of that yummy, famous Frozen Hot Chocolate again while watching the adorable, romantic comedy named after the famous cafe, Serendipity! I got the idea for the Frozen Hot Chocolate Cones from Tip Junkie!

The Top Five Reasons why Gehrig Loves his Grandma Joan (written by Gehrig)

1. She took me to Sea World and the Rodeo

2. She made me special waffles when I came to visit

3. She plays soccer in the backyard with me

4. She took me to feed pancakes to the turtles

5. She gives me HUGS!!!!!

We love you! Have a wonderful birthday Grandma Joan!!!

Wyatt's Birthday Party

Our sweet friend Wyatt turned three last Tuesday and had his party at the Tucson Children's Museum over the weekend. What a blast it was. When we arrived, all the kids were getting their faces painted. Gehrig got a monster truck painted on his cheek. Then after touring and exploring the museum for a bit, we enjoyed pizza and cake. Yum. The kids even had the opportunity to go on their own dinosaur dig! How creative is that??? After much hard work of chiseling and brushing, Gehrig dug up his very own Stegosaurus! We are really going to miss Wyatt (and Miss Joanna) when we go!
We got him a beach pail full of swim stuff: a towel, a kickboard, goggles, a pair of super squirters and water balls.
Checking out his monster truck!
